driver door locked
got cut off two months ago on e-way. went into the cables. replaced driver and sliding door with junkyard pieces. this morning my son tried openibg sliding door to shut it again. I heqard the power lock make a noise and now those two doors wont open. they appear to be locked but the button moves when the lock, unlock botton is hit. will a slim jim work on a 2006 montana? obviously I can get the door panel off with the door closed. all the other doors lock and unlock fine. any help greatly appreciated.

Which two doors are you talking about?
The driver'* door and sliding door on the same side, or both sliding doors?
Were the sliding doors functional, after the repair? Did they open/close automatically?

driver side
the doors are both drivers side. they are both replacements from junkyard. they both worked fine until my son tried to open the sliding door to shut it again. then neither one would unlock. very strange. i dont know why the front drivers door would be affected.

So you can't manually unlock the driver'* door or the driver'* side sliding door, but the doors on the other side work with the power door locks?
You are right, it does not make sense.....have you tried force, to open the doors(with the manual locks in the unlock position)?
Find it hard to believe, if both latches were rusted bad(doors were in a junkyard), they would jam at the same time....
The only thing common to both doors is the "B" pillar.....did the doors previously open, very easily?

unlock the door
the door lock button moves when all the other buttons do. i can move the button by hand and doors remain locked, even in the unlocked position.you can tell it'* locked when you pull on the handle. at this point I just want it open, then i can figure out what to do then. can I use a unlocking tool like a slim jim or something like that?thanks.

The only situation I have seen like this, is where the latch is rusted...even when unlocked, if you pull on the latch rod, the latch does not release, due to rust......
In situations like this, I have had to remove the door panel, and get a spray can of PB Blaster in there to soak the latch.....let it penetrate, and repeat.........also while spraying, move all the rods going to the latch....this may take several applications....
But what bugs me is both doors having this problem at the same time......sure we got the WHOLE story on this?

Given that the van went into guard rail cables I would suspect that the door pillar and/or uni-body is out of alignment just enough to prevent the latches from working properly. Wouldn't take much and might not be visible to the naked eye.
