Exclamation 99 pontiac grand prix gtp engine cut out

I filled up my car the other day and since then the engine just stalls out if my rpms falls under 2000. This has happened before two years ago and at first I thought it was the fuel filter but after replacing it I noticed that was not the problem. After taking it to mechanic they said a bad fuel sensitive I think.I remember googing it and found it for $50 but now I can't remember Wat it is called because I can't find thoughs web sites again

Fuel sensitive = fuel sensor??? fuel sender??? Not sure what you are trying to describe.

Have you checked for vacuum leaks?

I have not checked for vacuum leaks but Wat I am talking about is a sensors that is on top of the engine that has to do wit the amount of gas that goes into the engine

That would be the fuel pressure regulator, I think.

Fuel pressure regulator sounds like what you are describing. It is a small round component on the fuel rail with a vacuum hose attached to it. Remove the vacuum hose (engine not running) and smell for gas. If you smell gas, replace the FPR.
