Default Torrent Cooling Issues

Well I am stumped, on our Torrent we have been having an issue with the cooling system. I thought there was air in the system, but when I try to bleed the system, nothing, and mean nothing happens. Litteraly nothing comes out of the hole. As long as the car is running. As soon as you shut it off, pure coolant comes out... Whatever is happening is getting worse, the car runs hot at idle, and now is almost overheating at stop lights. I am praying it is not a head gasket issue, but from what I have seen on equinox and torrent forums, when the head gasket goes on these, the "chug" at start up, which ours has started over the past couple of days. I am at a loss on this one, anyone have any suggestions?

At full operating temperature, leave the bleeder screw open for a while. If there is a lot of air it might look like nothing is coming out, when in fact there is. You might give the upper rad hose a couple of squeezes while doing this to help things along.

when you bleed it you leave the engine off, fill it till water comes out of there then put the plug back in. top off the rad and overflow to line put the cap back on and drive it, the system needs pressure to work and you got a big leak with the bleeder open. after driving it the temp may shoot past normal but as long as the thermostat is good it will come back down after the car cools you will need to top it off again.
