Clunking noise still there!!!!!!
I have a 1997 Bonneville SSEi with 178000 miles. I've had a clunk in the front end when I accelerate and occasionally when I stop since I rebuilt the front end. I desperately need someone'* help with this because it'* driving me bat- crazy. Also, the car feels like it dips when I make a right turn. When I first bought the car it was solid. Ok, here goes. I have replaced all engine and transmission mounts, subframe bushings, front and rear shocks/struts, outer tie rod ends, stabilizer links, sway bar bushings, tires are balanced and newer, all control arm bushings up front, ball joints, and I believe that'* all for suspension components. I haven't replaced the c/v joints or the inner tie rod ends, but I've been told by three different shops that they're fine. It only clunks on initial acceleration. I purchased Moog quick struts for the front.... Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm thinking it has something to do with the left front shock/strut but the car doesn't bounce down the road. Occasionally when I hit a bump while turning slightly the car will jump. Again, thanks to any suggestions.
