3.1 Fuel Injector Ohms Specification
I am looking for the actual OEM specification for the resistance of the fuel injectors for a 1989 Pontiac Grand Prix 3.1 V6.
I recently had to replace the ECM due to a no injector pulse condition, the ECM was receiving the proper signal from the ICM, however when the vehicle reached the maximum operating temp the car would suddenly shut off and would not restart for several hours (until the temp dropped). Mu thought was that something had to take out the driver circuit in the ECM for the injector pulse, like prolonged over current. After removing the plenum and testing the resistance of each injector, I have 4 that read 12.2 ohm, 1 at 8.7 ohms and 1 at 9.5 ohms.
My guess is that I have 2 injectors that are breaking down when hot and causing a over current condition on the circuit. Before spend the money on 2 injectors I want to get the actual specification.

12.0 ohms on a cold engine.....
Since you have a multiport engine(meaning 1-3-5 injectors fire at the same time, and 2-4-6 injectors fire at the same time), if one injector shorts out and draws too much current, the quad driver in the ECM will disable all three injectors on that circuit....
