Default Daily driver fiero help (pic heavy)

Back in October.
My bone stock 2.5 fiero has been burning oil and smoking sense I bought her.
I have finally got to a point at my job where I can
afford to give my sad little fiero the proper care it needs.
later-
So today I found that my head gasket was leaking. I've never used new head bolts like these.
The 3 steps for setting them seem to be beyond me....
I pulled the valve cover and cleaned the oil off of everything.
Re-set them and we will see how it goes.
Anything else I could check?
Oil and coolant was spurting out behind the header shield.

as far as the torque they are stepped in the proper inside out pattern to make sure it draws down evenly and seals right. you cant just retorque it if its bad should undo it all and redo the steps

Ok. I was just worried I would haft to buy new head bolts and a head gasket.
My block is iron, but I've pulled treads out of Honda aluminum blocks before.
Thank you jwfirebird!

Just did one on my 86-olds (not fiero) Likely a head gasket? heads will warp & crack too! The blocks /rebuilt are on ebay for 199.00 bux - cheap enough!! Heads also avail. look close & remember what code engine u have as heads are different!! I just bought a redone head there for 69.bux- from old machinest-had 1 left over. ur engine is likely a "R"code so just be sure!!

What a freakin' nightmare those Fiero'* were.....

There were enough campaigns on them.....wrapping all the heat tape around the harnesses, the heat shields, and of course the broken bolts on the exhaust manifolds...

And in a salt area, the underbody would just rot out......

Sad, that just when they were about to redesign and make it a better vehicle, that they dropped it.....

The Formula with the V-6 and a manual tranny was a swift little car....

Check your valve seals. That'* supposedly one of the common issues on Fieros that cause them to smoke. It was starting to cause mine to smoke, but I wound up selling it before it became an issue
