Just drove 5 miles after 30 minutes in the driveway. Going back out for some more. Bogging under load at low rpm'* initially (probably due to the PCM forgetting all the fueling maps and the fuel pressure still set high from last season), but coming to me! After the first mile, I stopped to pick Bo up. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, got back in, and it was NOTICABLY better.
Down to just ONE lifter ticking slightly. Out for another drive.......

Short stop at work. Coming to me better. Still one lifter ticking. Expected. Possibly for a couple days.
Power is coming on by the mile. Not a drip from anything. Off for another long drive. Confidence is high. I didn't even grab my scantool on the way out the door.

Gotta call, it sounded like a Tea Kettle whistle going off in my ear or a finely built series 1 M62 with custom fwi
Great job on the build Bill, looks and sounds perfect

Running pretty good considering the work over the last 5 months. New engine paint and ceramic header coating is still cooking off.
Coolant, oil, and fuel are good, but my gut tells me I'm running pig rich. The PCM is still relearning from scratch, and I don't have the wideband O2 in yet.
Running well enough to drive every day for now, but still a long road ahead in tuning and other touches.
A few pics, then it'* off to bed for me. Between work and the car, I've been been getting up at 4:30am and going to bed no early than 11 for the last 2-3 weeks, including weekends.
Nothing vid-worthy yet. I haven't been over 5 PSI on the boost gauge, or past half-throttle. The immediate LURCH off idle in drive is refreshing, though. On a scale of 1-10 compared to last season, the car started out (driving) at about a 4. We're at about 7 now. And getting better. 25 miles on the ticker so far.
