Default Guage Colors/GXP Exhaust

Ok, so I heard a GXP take off down the road when I was walking my dog the other day, and I now know I have to find a way to make my SSEi sound like that! Would it be hard to do, or could it be custom done? Also, is there a way to change the color of our guages? I like the red, but I would like to have white letters at night and have red needles. That would probably have to be done custom too, huh? Thanks, in advance!

Well getting the same sound will be hard as it'* a v8, but you can swap mufflers to some high flow units like a magnaflow, flowmaster, corsa, borla, etc....

That'll open her up

I too was curious about GXP guages (white). I'm sure from gm they'd be pricey, but they look pretty sweet! The GXP guages go to 160, would the speedometer have to be adjusted?

The guages look almost interchangable except for the fact that GXP'* MPH looks like it goes higher...

As some of us have found out, looks are deciving until you put it in. It might drop right in and the resistance could be off or something like that.

Randy found resistance differences on clusters. I think I've got one as well with my partial 95/93 cluster.

To be honest, I never knew the GXP guages were white like that, then again I never looked. I would like to keep the black, I just want to change the actual letters to white. Can I just replace the bulbs behind the cluster, or are there already white bulbs behind it that make the current white letters red? Thanks again!

Harofreakk00 is the resident cluster expert. I'm sure he'll weigh in on this today. Meanwhile if I recollect properly he said all the lettering is colored by a laminated film on the inside of the cluster. He has gotten that off and maybe could give suggestions or help.

Think he'* perfecting blue at the moment.

looks like a good replacement.. the only thing i could think of that would be an issue is MAYBE tac signal and speedo readings... I hope they will work, i want to try it
