Mission Failed
Well I couldn't hit the 13'* today.
My climate control said it was 91F, there was a diagonal oncoming crosswind, the sun was beating down, and I was tripping of sweat. In other words, IT WAS HOT!
I'm sure my KR was through the roof because of my temporary short ram intake, but I'll be getting my INTENSE tubing this week so I can get the fender/bumper well intake complete.
I could feel the rockers, which was strange because my fastest run was only 14.348 @ 98.50mph. She kept pulling up high in the rpms and didn't feel like it was ******* on me...but it just wasn't running 13'*.
Heat was a major issue today, and after icing the supercharger for 45 minutes I still couldn't get better than my 14.3. Oh well, I was able to practice launches today and got a nice 2.18 which was a first for me. Heat is the enemy and my new intake project should fix it....back to the drawing board.

I pulled the wheel speed sensors and was running 104 octane.
And yes, next time I go to the track I'll make sure its much cooler.

Possibly making you the fastest 92-99 (unless the IC'ed one that was around here has done more mods and run at the track).
On a side note, I wish I could've made run last Wednesday when I brought the SSEi to the track (rained out). The car was pulling like never before. I had pulled almost 200 lbs from the car and with the 100 octane, outside temps only at 66* I bet she'd have been pulling 14.5'* or better. Going back to the track Tuesday, but with Ol Blue -hope to pull a 16.0-16.2, allthough she may not if she doesn't limber up between now and then.

Ok my head is clearer now. I took a shower and cooled down from the day. Wasn't all that bad, I got some good practice in and am starting to learn the specifics on how to launch my car. There as a Ford Lightning Club there so we all shared supercharger whines down the track. Plus a group of GTP'* ranging from stock to lightly modified were running as well. Best part is a bunch of imports showed up and I got to show them just what an old people'* car can do!
After awhile they were all watching from trackside and told me to light 'em up as I was staging.
Sadly I was kinda bored...well REALLY bored because I only met one person I knew the entire day there.

But the bottom line is it'* nice to see our 1992-1999'* really starting to come to life on the performance scene. I know they have been for awhile, but as of lately it seams to have taken in nice swift kick in the behind -all for the better.

I did my times in 85* temps with bright sun and 94 octane gas. Once you get her deep breathing...she'll go.
Cheers,

Remember, your making more horsepower so launches may be a bit harder to pull off. Your intake air temps were most certainly hurting you especially if the track temps were hot. Once you get the BWI in, times will start dropping.
Also, your rockers probably dropped your boost a bit. Depending on your scan a 3.3 might be a viable option with race gas.
Don't get discouraged.
