MSD vs Series II L67 coils
I just compared a MSD coil to a Series II L67 coil.
MSD:
Primary .8 Secondary 6k
Series II
Primary .9 Secondary 5.78k
I believe the greater the resistance difference, the greater the output voltage.
Advantage: MSD

My msd coils got to run 13'* this summer at woodburn..that is when me and O'Niel installed them in Bone-Evil!
I love them, had them for over two years..even if i didnt notice a major performance increase..they still look good!

Stock ignition system for a series II is good up to at least 700 crank hp. We still run stock coils on our 10sec Bonnie as well as every other car in our stable except the turbo car. Unless your having problems with your current system and need to replace all your coils or ignition system money may be better spent on other things.

That is what I'm saying Rogue. Also Rogue (not to get off topic) but is that one of the things that was changed to the turbo car to get that 9 sec. slip? What coils is the turbo car running now? I know I heard SC saying that Intense was working a few things out and I thought I heard that Rob was helping out with the tune but what was actually changed to gain .2 and 5 mph?
J Wikoff I'd just save those old coils just incase those MSD'* fail on you. I know people on this forum have had good luck with them but on other forums and even different car/engine platforms have had lots of problems with them including people I know personally. Also J Wikoff did you measure the resistance on a Series 1 coil? Could you?

I've got plenty of coils:
2 sets Series I
1 set Series II L67 (one is actually a Wells brand replacement, courtesy of a short lived member :?)
1 set MSD
I'll get the multimeter out of the trunk later and ohm the Series I set I have here.
