Default ok so I have a 92 bonnie

and I was told that there is not much that I can do with is performance wise cause it has the 3800 series 1 in it is this true??

No, no, no, no... You can get an intake (ram air/cai), exaust, plugs/wires new ignition coils, Nitrous has been done on this forum, there is a long list of things. Somethings like removing your MAF screen are free. Checkout this techinfo article http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/techinfo/?article=52 . It is very helpful and gives you a nice starting point. Do you have 170k miles on your engine?

BonnieBoiMN is right, there is lotz you can do! Besides, I can even give a few pointers on that EGRless 3800 too!

Damn EGRless, im glad i didn't get one, i like non-burnt exaust valves... Although that 92 sse had all the options.... Grr why did it have to be falling apart!!!

And don't ever let the comparitively low sounding 170 hp fool you. The L27, and it'* relatives are known for very ballsy torque.

Hey 170 HP isn't low though... More then most cars! Anyways torque is why we kill off the line, and through the entire power band, it'* not like an s2000 were you sit in the intersection till your engine gets to 6k RPMS and your 2nd cam kicks in... We have a nice and flat torque curve!

HELL YEAH!
Besides it'* funny as hell to see their faces in my rear view mirror as I blow by them in a luxury sedan with two car seats in the back too!
