painting the door trim black to offset all the light colors and to match the rebuilt console
half mirror tint all the way around
red neon under body kit
red neons inside the car
black paintjob with custom hand laid graphics
leather dash cover to cover the cracks in the dash

That sounds like a good idea, however the hood is a major structural part on the car, and it also needs all the strength it can get.. so don't make the hood scoop functional.. otherwise you will have some SERIOUS body roll. Maybe even bend the hood on a hard corner.
My dad did that hood scoop idea on his '67 Firebird.. looked good from the few pics I saw [this was back in '79], then he made it functional. Since his car had a chassis, unlike our cars.. it was fine. However our cars utilize the body for 90% of it'* rigity to keep the car together. Ever see my car on the lip where the hood rests? It'* all worn out because the car has some serious body roll.
Otherwise, the list sounds badass.. you have to post before/after pics though!

I thought all cars had a chassis?
What OSG is saying is newer cars are built better than older cars. Ever look at the hood of an old car compared to a new one? The new ones are creased and have more impact zones so when they get into a wreck, they just crumble, instead of going through the windshield and taking your head off like a old Firebird would do.

You should be ok with the hood. Hood'* aren't nearly as much of a strutural part as say the windshield. Especially with all the bracing and reinforcement under the hood.

If he is welding, cant he just attach a bar that runs across the hood on the underside. Kind of like a "sway bar" setup, to give it more structural support if he needs it..?

But i agree with Jason... the hood wont be TOO big of a deal if he doesnt take away the major framing of it.

well the hood scoops wont be functional they will just be added to the hood using body adheasive and molded in with bondo or body weld to give the appearence of a stock hood
