Default Where did you mount your G-Tech?

Just wondering where everyone else mounted their G-Tech meters?

(pics would be cool)

(and yes I moved my own post because I wasn't sure if it should be in GC or P&B)

Bottom left corner of the WS. My pillar pod and Gtech are all near each other that way.

Anyone else?

Thanks for the props, bud.

Hey, that looks just like my car!

Power cord tucks in between the dash and door trim. No problem. And I hardwired in an extra socket under the dash to plug it in. Gtech'* don't like to run off of splitters where another device is plugged in. I learned that.

Glass mount works fine if you follow the directions to the letter, but it WILL eventually break. I fixed mine and beefed it up with JB weld, but I should just buy a new one. I'm tempted actually to hard mount it through the A-pillar.

How long did it last before it broke?

I was thinking the same thing.... about doing something on the a-pillar.... my only concern would be that plastic on the a-pillar might be too unstable (bumps and stuff).

What cracked/broke on it?
Did you have it on during the winter?

Broke in the fall, not hot or cold related. The main 'cone' shaped piece broke right through both sides where it captures the ball on the back of the Gtech. I set my angle, and JB welded the ball to the cracked socket at the right angle. It'* alot more stable and rigid now, but more difficult to get a good suction mount. If you get it, it'll stay for 3 or 4 months. Heat usually makes it lose suction.

Mine used to be right in the lower center part of the windshield facing me slightly, but recently the darn thing won't stick!

I've got mine tucked underneath the rearview mirror now. I had mine in the corner like bills but next to the pillar (no pods in my car).

but now my power cord goes to my overhead accessory power. I'll get pix around 6pm central of it.
