wheel bearing again or maybe rear brakes?
Hi
Its been awhile since I had a "H" but still like those Bonnies.
After being on my second Chinese bearing, I now have another squeaking sound during right turns and straight ahead. Applying brakes has no effect. Left turns are silent.
During each bearing replacement, the squeaking on right turns has abated until more serious problems caused the bearing replacement such as a abs code for first new bearing and now the squeaking is back on this new one.
I checked the pads today in the front, plenty of meat left, rotors look good. I did not check rears although I just did pads and rotors last year there so cant imagine them going that soon.
I will check new bearing again to see if any play. I checked the original bearing on left and it did seem to have some play but at 9 and 3 not 12 and 6 o'clock. Tie rod...???
I still have a pop on a left slow turn...i think that is a strut mount..but this dam squeaking..right side..seems to be rotational.

Hi
I am going out now to do just that. The thing is..its a another new bearing . It was only in the car 12hrs before the first sounds arrived..this after the previous new bearing made a sound hours after install.
If its bad, I'll get it warrantied but also order from RA a bearing from BCA. I just cant get quality stuff locally anymore.

Hi
I replaced the Dynapak with a Timken today. Seems much better now but did have an issue with the dust cover scrapping against the rotor..but chased that down.
I had a shop do the first two as I have little time with work, but this one I did myself. Much better results by myself.

Hi
It had been off twice within three days as the first two failed so came off easily.
I prob should do the driver'* side now. Saw a new vender online that sells only US made hubs so will give that a try. Price seems good.

Hi
Based on some news from the local dealership, it seems that to have harness damage , esp on the passenger front is quite common with W cars as well as some other models including the C/K trucks.
It might be that as the wheel is all the way to the right, a connection opens thus the abs light.
I will order the harness tomorrow..its a pigtail and will splice in with heat shrink tubing.
