Oh, yeah, THAT was easy...
It was a BITCH, sort of!

I took the trip up to see my Best Friend, 97BonnSSE, who graciously offered to help me with the install. I would've been screwed had I tried it by myself. Gary could've done it alone, but it was better to have two people there and count on spending some extra time.
He'* very good at this type of work and the installation was professional as hell when finished, except for one frustrating thing.
Some MORON ahead of us had put the rubber hose OVER the buttstop ring and clamped the hose down on each side of it, leaving a nice, big bubble of rubber stretched over the ring.

When we decided to replace the line there, as it had exhibited a bit of leakage, we found that the end of the metal tube was missing the 'nipple' on the end, meant to hold the hose tightly and provide a backstop for the clamp between it and the ring...
Consequently, we ended up clamping the hose down tightly onto what amounts to half of what'* supposed to be there, and putting the second clamp in front of that to give it a bit of backup.

The hose routing is done nicely and it'* surrounded by plastic shielding similar to what the factory uses to protect it from abrasion and sharp edges. Looks good.
The cooler is mounted with 3 of the push-through zip-ties ( A SIN, I KNOW ) with the foam pads between it and the factory cooler. It'* secure and there were no leaks.
This routing is enough to make you think you're going in circles. It takes a bit of thinking as you go. It is somewhat confusing trying to make sense of the lines and where they have to go to make it work.

We went in to the Forum Search to get what we wanted and printed it out.
Gary understood it and we only had to re-route once! Not too bad.
As mentioned, the only glitch was somebody elses shitty job, and now I have to find a hard line/return line to finish the installation.

We also changed the oil & filter.
I put in Valvoline Syn-Tech 10-30 for now, and a K&N filter.
I can see where putting in the longer filter MIGHT be a problem. I choose not to use a longer filter.

It'* supposed to add years of life to the transmission.
The install took a couple of years off of my life...
It'd BETTER work! It'* the 3rd cooler of fluid in the system!

Do a SEARCH for the Topic of tranny coolers and you'll find a lot of info.
