Shawn, what rim width is he using? 7 1/2" or 8"?
The Hoosiers are 26x9.5x16 but I see the MT are 1" wider.
Does he have to heat them up long in the burn out box?
Does he put them on at the track or drive to the track with them on. Just wondering why he went with Streets in stead of full on drag slicks.
He is running 6.5" GP torque stars. Seems like a narrow wheel for that wide of a tire, but they seem to work just fine. They obviously would fit better on a wider wheel. You probably wouldn't want to try to turn corners very quick with this wheel/tire combination, but they are meant for straightline so he doesn't mind.

He doesn't drive to the track with the slicks on the car, he puts them on when he gets there. He went with the ET streets so if he does decide to go out on the street with the slicks he can. He ended up never driving it on the street with the slicks, but at least he could've if he wanted to. He only heats them up enough for them to start to smoke. His burnouts are probably usually 10 seconds or less. Sometimes he does do some big burnouts for show, but not too often.
