Look at it like this, if theres even the slightest chance that a removed MAF screen could damage your ride, why risk it? You said you got that info from ZZP, well let me ask you, is ZZP gonna pay to repair your MAF, or even more, are they gonna rebuild your engine when it craps out from running way lean for a long time? Or will they simply just be there ready to fill your order when its time to order new parts?lol Something to think about. The whole MAF screen mod has been a long debated issue and there really hasnt been any definitive evidence in either direction, but with the mods you have the hp gains would be minimal at best if there are any at all. Just some food for thought.

I'm currently running a Northstar throttle body and LQ4 (GM 5.3/6.0) maf. Screen is still there.
The system was designed for the screen.
ZZP says you can do lots of things, like running stock springs on different rocker ratios or cams. People tend break springs and blow engines following that advice.
As you know we can all do whatever we'd like to our cars. We are trying to help you not blow the motor or have troubles as you try to mod further. Afterall.. we care about your car and we drive the same, the owner of ZZP drives a BMW
