Default Rockers or Headders or ??

I need to change my valve cover gaskets. I was thinking as long as I'm in there I should throw in some 1.9 rockers and new springs. I am thinking with the extra flow I really ought to get the exhaust into shape (planning on headers/cat/muffler). I am not wanting to dump all that cash in at once...but I guess I could say screw it and just do rockers and exhaust. Thoughts?? Something else I should be doing instead??

I would say get the exhaust flowing before you do the rockers.

I hear that you can make things worse with rockers as far as KR goes, if you don't have the exhaust flowing well.

You should be fine to install the rockers and you will notice a big difference.

You can get a set of PEM'* for way less than headers, and still get a considerable amount of power from those.

I see on the Intense website that LS6 springs will work for 98+ Series II and that 97 and earlier Series II should use the CompCams high load springs. What is the reason for this?

The 97 and earlier spring seats are not compatible with the ls6 springs. This was changed in 98. The compcam 105# fit fine and should be used if you want stronger springs in a 97.
