i have a l36 n/a now and was going to do a top swap. but i have a 130000 miles on it! and i was going to fully build the bottom end like forged 10:1 pistons and l32 rods but this guy was telling me lol a stock l26 will hold up better is that so? i dont see how it would if ur putting parts into ur motor that can withstand 1,000hp doesnt make sence to me. jw let me no thanks!!!!!

130k? That engine is just broken in. I have 189k on my l67 and it runs like new. The stock bottom ends can take more than one might think but it really depends on how well it was taken care of.

L36 bottom end and a 2.8 pulley, I hear boom in your future. With the top end set up your talking about you might, and I say might get that small on a L67 bottom end. You would need to be intercooled to run that small. Now, a L67 is 8.5:1 compression, and a L36 is 9.5:1 compression. Perhaps you can get to ohh, maybe 3.2, perhaps 3.1. hard to say without a good scan and a really good tune.

There is no magic answer, tuning and scanning is the key. I'm playing with a L26 bottom end, ported throttle body, ported supercharger(gen3), ported LIM, S1x cam, TOG headers, 3" exhaust to the resonator, and a 3.2" pulley. I haven't had a chance to play with my tune yet, so not even sure where I stand. But might be a tad small.
