Default SC Polish

Has anyone here pulled there SC off and had it sandblasted and polished(externally)? I'm planning a rebuild this winter along with other mods, (NOS direct port Noszle system, CAM Rockers, Springs, Headers) and wondered if someone else had any experience with it. Also planning on doing the valve covers also...

A little chrome never hurt anyone.....

Eaton and Magnusson don't recommend it. That'* a heat transfer paint, non-insulative. If you do, pick your paint wisely.

The valve covers are plastic.

Where did you get your air-intake?

Default Polished SC

Will...

I wouldn't be painting it If I polished the outside.. similar to the GM 6-71 blowers. I didn't realize the covers were plastic... Maybe ceramichrome for the covers and just a polished aluminum..finish for the SC

The intake I made myself ... it'* 3-1/2 inch stainless.. works great... I plan to build and sell another 10 soon. The new ones will be ceramichromed finished to disapate the heat and will include a deflector around the filter to help use external air only from around the headlight.
