I bought an '81 f-150 for $350 (us) and had to put on new brakes, wiper motor, and a little basic maintaince. I've had it for about 8 months now it it works just fine. 4x4 with a straight 6 and running good.

Now if your looking for a car or something a little nicer than my pile of rust, it will be a more car to car basis to find a descent beater. I have found that the old Cprice and CV'* make good beaters and are relatively cheap for an 80'*.

Caprice is RWD and therefore not a good winter beater.... Just get somethign that can stop well, and is FWD..

I'd have to say go with a old Camry too, should be dirt cheap, easy to find, and yet big enough to protect you should the unexpected happen.

Well if he did that, he could clean her up and have another bonnie! It'd be cheaper then a damn camry, and be decent enough for whenever.
