Default TPS mod questions

i have an '01 ssei with 3.4 pulley zzp computer, 180thermostat and cold air canister, i was goin to adjust the tps and when i measure the voltages the idle was higher and the wot was higher stock than the specs should of been after the adjustment. i was wondering if maybee they were different for my year. idle was around .7v and wot was somewhere around 5.6 or so. any ideas?

The TPS is a pot, and as such the measurements you got are common for misadjustment.

I havnt adjusted the sensor yet, the numbers I gave are the stock voltages. Im just curious what would be safe to adjust those voltages to.

.45V idle, 4.5V WOT.

IIRC your TPS is not adjustable unless its aftermarket

Stock, No. But if can be replaced with say.. a '93 TPS, Or PontiacDad style Mod'd. Which the original poster must realize if he'* already figured out how to measure it.

Anyone have a guess of why my stock voltages might be so high? Or, has anyone seen factory voltages that high from a TPS?
