I can tell you from a durability standpoint, it'* impressive so far.
Things should warm up again here next week, maybe over the weekend so I can finish testing.

Did you ever figure if the coatings can be applied while off the car?
My PEM'* didn't get finished and installed yesterday like they were supposed to be so now I'm gonna have to wait until NEXT weekend, to get my PEM'* on. They're already gonna be coated from the guy who'* doing the Porting and such on them......
So I was figuring, since this is still gonna be another week down the road before I get these in, if you found out if this stuff sets up enough to actually handle/install the manifold?
Because if it does, and you're happy with your testing and results, I'd order that stuff this week and by the time I get back up here to Sauk Centre (Marty'*), the coating should be here, and I could do my Oil pan gasket while the coating sets up?
Thoughts?

I did it on the car, so I couldn't tell you. I'd bet after it sits for 15min or so, you could use a hair dryer to further cure it for handling before the heat of the exhaust fully bakes it on.
BTW, further testing is still delayed. 55° and raining today.
I do plan on going under the car for a little touch-up work under the runners and collectors.

Sorry for the long delay folks, but I had to wait for another 100° day for final testing.
Heatsoaked both cars on 100° days for 20 minutes with the fans on override.
Shut down and measured the temperature between the 1 and 3 and 3 and 5 exhaust manifold runners, and averaged the 1/3 with the 3/5 for both cars.
BEFORE applying Black Satin to the SSEi:
SLE: average temps 211°
SSEi: average temps 198° (please note that I had ceramic header paint already)
AFTER applying Black Satin to the SSEi:
SLE: average temps 214°
SSEi: average temps 160°
So it did make a remarkable difference based on this rather basic test. What that means in terms of exhaust velocity I have NFC, but it certainly isn't hurting. Nearly a 40° drop in temps on the SSEi for a very small investment.

From nasty whitish residue left over from my ceramic header paint to Satin Black. Nice finish, smooth and slightly glossy. Unchanged for over a month.
