Default Tranny wire burnt to a crisp?

Hey all I just took my car to a Jasper approved shop or whatever because the transmission wouldnt shift from the first gear or something like that and they said they were looking at it and it seems to be just a burnt wire which I guess allows the transmission to shift. They arent for sure yet because they just started looking at it today and should have an answer possibly later today or tomorrow. Any ideas on what this wire is all about and how easy it is to get that fixed? Thanks!

Default tranny

I got a simiar problem i got a 93 bonnie with 150k miles it also has a problem with 1st gear i can put it into drive but it wont engage until the car reaches operating temp or (not best for the engine) rev unitl i get enough rpm'* to get into 2nd gear. my dads friend looked at it and came up with the same conclusion that it is a wire in the tranny.

Please post your problem in the 92-99 forum. This one doesn't belong here either, as it'* not a Performance post.
