Question How many additional ponies will that get you? And what is a CAI? I think I missed that in techinfo. I still haven't added anything to my car engine wise.

Well...first of all..the 180 stat will probably not raise enough (hp) to write home about...But will maintain a cooler running engine...(less heat = more efficient and less wear)
Secondly...CAI ( cold air intake) is just that...replaces your airbox (air filter "holder" and ducting) with a precision bent pipe with a cone type (K&N) air filter...WHICH then gives you some PONY'* you can feel....
Can anyone give me a accurate estimate of how many ??
My guess about 7 - 14 hp ??

Alot depends on the car and other mods. It'* not unheard of to get 15hp out of custom intake with a cone. We need to clarify again, there'* a difference between an Intake and a CAI. There IS an article up in Techinfo on this. Actually a couple now.

Those sound like really good mods for starters like myself and a serious modder. Who can possibly argue with less engine heat, a longer lasting engine, and a few hp?
I will defenitely try to get the thermostat. I actually know what a cold air intake is, but I didn't think that CAI was the shortend version. However I'm debating whether to even get the intake modded, because my car can't really handle the stock power it alreay has.
