...so i have a 2000 Bonneville SE, and i want to supercharge it with the STOCK SSEi Supercharger so it'* like the Bonneville SSEi.

Can i just directly attach a factory stock 3800Series II Supercharger onto the engine, or are there any complications with it?

How can i go about doing this? Where can i purchase the supercharger? How much will it cost?

on another forum i was told it would be complicated, and alot of things have to be changed around.

If i take it to GM to get it done, how much would that cost?

Yes, the article is true for the most part. HOWEVER, there IS a turbo kit out for the L36( 3800II NA) now. Its very expensive. Around $4K for the kit and more money for a new tranny. But with just those things you may be looking at high 12'* in the quarter.

selling the SE and purchasing an SSEi would be WAY cheaper than trying to make that car supercharged.

even if you spend thousands to convert it it would be another few thousand to convert the trans to handle that extra torque

wow, i didn't know there was so much difference in the drivetrain between SC & NA versions! thanks guys, now i know what i'm dealing with

ok, so once when my friend was over, i revved it in park, and it made some weird clanking noise. i never heard this noise before, it neved made it when i was driving, but it only did it in park. My friend got down to see if he could pinpoint where it'* coming from, and he said it'* coming from somewhere around the exhaust (could be anywhere from the exahust manifold to the muffler). later during the day, i revved the car again in park, and it didnt make the noise! it went away! weird :?: also, as i mentioned about flooring the car and it not behaving right in high rpm'*, it seems like it is behaving properly now. somehow, the SES light went off, and i floored the car to see if it would react properly... after flooring it (which lead the tach to near-redlining) the SES light came on again! :?:

either find out why the engine light is coming on, or take it to a mechanic and have him fix it.

Still sounds like a converter to me unless it has good high rpm power. If the cat is restricted it will cause the vehicle to misfire at higher rpm'*. Get the code check by a mech. or the local parts store.

Revving your engine in park or neutral is extremely bad for it.
