Default Top of 1st pedal vibration

Fixed,

Apparantly bad plug wire on one of the cylinders somewhere (damn those Taylors). After hearing everyones issues with the Taylors I went down to NAPA and picked up some Beldin wires with a lifeteime warranty for 50 bucks. Slapped those bad boys on and HOLY CRAP.

I guess with the misfire codes turned off, and the lope of the cam its hard to know if you have a slight misfire. Apparantly mine was only hemmoraging at high load (> 5800rpm ). Went out today to test the car after the new wires and dear God. I'm sure some of it is the new PCM code, we put in yesterday but when we put the Gen V on Tuesday I thought the car felt pretty good with some slight problems up top, but now the car just feels awesome. It has never felt better and the vibration at the top of 1st is gone. I have not yet tested the "wall" at 102 but i'm going to try tonight.

If you have taylors be sure to check them out.

Did you check your resistances after you pulled them? I'd be curious what they are, shortest to longest.

Sweet, man. I can't wait until I step on the loud pedal and say, "Dear God..."

Mark, can you forward the links to this and our other topic to PFYC? All of my wires came from them, too.

Not yet, but I will. I had one come apart on me after I pulled it. The plug cap came out of the boot.

Well I conceed defeat on the race for the #2 spot that'* for sure, with a gen V and LSD I can't keep up. You should be able to pull a 12

Let us know if that new code fixed that wall issue, maybe it sounds like you found some more power too perhaps.

Same thing happened to my #6, and in addition to the other problems, one contact was twisted in the 90° boot on the coil end of the wire when the set came out of the box new. We had to carefully coax it around so it would snap onto the terminal inside the boot.
