Default Performance decisions???

Help me decide guys, I have just an intake now. Where should my next $300 go. I was thinking either Jet Chip, Exhaust and Shift Kit, or Rockers. Please help me make up my mind.

Exhaust is gonna kill your torque. I'd go with the rockers.

The Jet requires intake, exhaust, and 180° thermostat first. Do the exhaust.

I'd do the exhaust too, especially since you already have the intake. They go hand in hand. Just keep the stock piping and you should be ok. I didn't lose too much low end at all. Of course I don't have a Hi-Flow CAT, yet.

Do exhaust, then jet. No shift kit, because the Jet stage 2 includes a tranny program upgrade.

Better verify what that Jet does for the 97. My 93 Stage 2 chip does that, but not sure about the offerings from Jet for the 97. Totally different gizmo. But if it DOES, then save the money from the shiftkit for something else. Good point, Jason.

You bet. And the three more popular mufflers here are so close in performance, just pic your sound. There'* some posts with soundclips around here. Where'* that exhaust thread that DrJay and BonneMeMn had all that great stuff in? I still need to get that copied up to Techinfo.

Okay so it looks like exhaust it is. Should I change my current piping to 2.5? I believe it is 2.25 currently.

If you want to spend that kind of money, going to 2.5" would be ideal. That'* what the SSE and SSEi have stock, and you have the same engine as the SSE.
