'95 L67 timing cover on an LN3?
I've got the front/timing cover off of the supercharged '89 LN3 to replace the timing set and various other things in that area as maintenance.
I've heard that the L67s oil pump puts out a little more pressure. Does it really matter? In theory, can't I just use the L67s timing cover on my LN3 without fuss? I'll take a closer look, but most everything bolts up between these motors.
I am seriously considering using the L67'* oil filter stuff because I won't have any more issues with clearance with the oil pressure sender. No issues there though. I think I'll loop the oil cooler lines on each other but will keep that option open.
Thanks guys.

I want to say that they are the same thing...the pumps themselves are the same (they are a gerotor type, driven straight from the crankshaft). The biggest difference you will find is that an L67 S1 uses a different oil filter adapter so it can use external cooling lines, but that part *should* just bolt up to your current timing cover. The other option you can do is find what is called a cooler sandwich...an adapter that goes between the current oil filter housing and the oil filter. The sandwich supplies new in/out cooling ports for an external cooler.

Thanks. I think I will be swapping the oil filter thingy for the better placement of the oil pressure sender. But if the oil pumps are the same, or about close, I'll keep the LN3 stuff on it.
