BIG BRAKES?
Has anyone installed a 4 Wheel disc setup on their Bonneville? I'd like to install a 12" or 13" front rotor with a large rear rotor to bring my 96' up tp speed. Anyone else serious? I'm thinking of callin Baer and prototyping a kit if I can find someone close enough to them to do so.

Drop me a line at deathrat64@yahoo.ca & I'll send you a file for upgrading your brakes to the Baer Brakes. The file based on a GP, but with a little work you should be able to make it work too.

The rears from a older 92-97 Seville H would bolt on.
A 13" front rotor and a 12" rear rotor would really help stop these cars!
Also some underbody "G Load" braces are in order.

Let me know what goes on with in this arena. I am VERY serious about removing the ancient drums from my B! I still wonder why the change wasn't made years ago, but not too much. $$$$$$$! I am willing to be a guinea pig for this if need be...

It would be better to spend the money up front and have 4 piston calipers and big 13" brakes rather than converting the rear'* to discs and leaving the front'* stock. The fronts do 80% of the stopping power, so spend you money up front. So call up Baer, and they should fit off a Grand Prix Kit they have.

I looked into it in the past and the rears are important but the bigger fronts are the real fix for stopping. That said the rear end might be a little lighter if done right. I think there is a stigma around the rear drum. The e-brake is the main problem from what I understand.

I've never heard of a Seville H body before and I work for GM! 99BonnevilleSE is right though, bigger front brakes is better since 80% of the braking is done by the fronts!

Although the site is progressing slowly I do have another company who is already making rear 13" disk kits and they will make us a kit. I am looking for people who are seriously interested and willing to keep information secret until the product is out. They already have a kit like the one you mentioned but they will make a conversion for you. This way I would sell the conversion so you could get or buy your preferred rear disk kit. Because they would use you or the appropriate person as a test run there would be a deal for you or who ever is interested.

I woudln't mind help Ty... bigger rotors in the front.. disc brakes in the rear... just ask Tamara about my driving.. she'd tell you I would need better stopping power.. :P on second thought... don't ask her about my driving... ha ha ha... I would make a great Cab driver lets say.. hee hee
