Default my new intake pipe

I decided it was about time I move from gutted K&N drop in and put a CAI instead since I work at a high perf shop now, and its getting embarrassing... everyone'* got twin turbo skylines, srt-4'*, vr6'*, just really fast cars, the least I could do is make my car look nice.

Here'* a tiny picture with my cell camera on low res... oops.

3.00" to 4.00" silicone reducer -$18, thats with a large employee discount too!
4" aluminum pipe - scrap!
4" dry cone filter - scrap!

I haven't drilled a hole yet for my IAT, I got lazy, and I wanted to go home, so I just pulled the sensor out and its hanging below the filter for now.

My next vehicle most likely will be a LS1, since we have an LS1 tuner handy at work, and the company would likely show interest in making kits for it, as we fabricate turbos, intakes, exhausts and carry tons of performance parts.

EDIT:: I know its ******* huge, but its better an acordian tube, right?

There is an aluminum cone filter air box sitting at work as clearance that came off a Cummins 5.9L Dodge, it looks like it would fit, if it does, it would look like a sweet heat shield if it shields at all, haha, however I do have my ram air ducting, which worked wonders last time.

well it didnt cost you much, so thats good.

But I say this since it will be said anyway... Its been tested and proven that the larges size and most power gaining size of piping you should use is 3". I has to do with Laminar flow through the pipe and volocity, not just volume

Well it doesn't make the biggest difference whether its 3" or 4", maf/no maf, accordian/no accordian, I should have dyno'd it for the hell of it to see if I could try to catch a difference. Would have been interesting..

Maybe I'll dyno my car next week, I've got restriction removed at the intake and exhaust, but the engine is all stock, no porting. Any guesses? My coworkers little atv ran 27WHP.

I'll try, the guy was planning to start it up tonight, but I left and so I won't find out until Monday. He went through a major overhaul, and swapped the twins for a fat turbo instead for now. It was painted by the previous owner all white, including rims, but they did such a bad paint job, there was major overspray, the gas tank is white too.

I was guessing around 150whp too actually.
