ZZ p-logs
I have been keeping an eye out for a p-log for the '98, ZZ hasn't had them in stock for quite awhile, or at least not when I checked. I checked tonight and they are having a pre-order for them.
Now, i'm calling them tomorrow and I'm gonna ask them a question which is likely to make someone there, the opposite of happy. But...
Wasn't there a problem with original metal casting/welds? I remember a not-so-good number of reports of them fracturing over time.
Is there any reason that the current stainless steel ones are better? ie Like they improved fabrication or better metal?
Thanks guys.

Charlie,
These are known for being welded in a way that they crack. The stainless ones had less occurances of the cracking issue, however they did crack as well. To my knowledge ZZP has not addressed the cracking issue or made any plans to fix it.
A few welders that have commented on the design etc, mentioned that the issue was in how the weld was being made and being ground down IIRC. They also mentioned it would be an easy process change/fix.
For the cost of a new Plog, you may want to consider a set of Speed Daddy headers, commonly found for a little over $200 with shipping. These are SLP knockoffs and are overall a great set of headers with an unbeatable price. Add in some torca band clamps from Frozen Boost and it'* tough to have an issue with them. W body guys need to modify their tunnel/firewall lightly to make the O2 sensors fit in some cases, however in an H body, there is likely more than enough room without modifying the car.

I purchased a ZZP Plog back in the day, not worth it. Still saw KR, and after a years time it cracked at the welds and was leaking exhaust, talk about no fun.
I own the speed daddy headers and love them. Was able to tune out all KR (Except part throttle but its false as in I get it with SC belt off as well). At WOT I see 0* KR on the smaller 3.6" pulley.
