This is one of the mods i was thinking about getting from zzp and i have a few questions about them.

Do 1.9 rockers create knock retard or help it?

Would i be fine running these rockers as a daily driver without having to worry about maintenance or anything in the car failing?

I dont plan on doing any more mods besides what i got and maybe a powerlog, are these enough supporting mods for 1.9 rockers?

My last question is, will rockers make my engine work harder and make it more prone to failure and will my gas mileage be affective.

I have 1.9 in my car and it'* my daily driver. It will help reduce any knock. Adding a Plog will help even more. The only thing you might want to consider is upgrading the valve springs when you change the rockers.

what springs should i upgrade to?
90#, 105# or 130#?

You should be able to use 90# on your engine. Now heaver then 105#

whats the reason behind upgrading the valve springs?

There'* more lift on those rockers. You want to make sure they close all the way. You don't want valve float.

no matter what springs you put in, the valves will still close ALL THE WAY, you want the valve to close faster due to the fact that the cam, if you choose to install one will now be keeping the valves open longer throughout the exhaust stroke
if you dont cam the car you dont need springs, unless the rockers will hit them physically

Changing the valve springs on a Series 2 motor is done for a few different reasons.
1. The added lift puts added stress on the stock springs and they have been known to break
2. The stock springs do not have as much pressure as the stock springs, this causes the valves to potentially stay open longer allowing for valve float.
3. When increasing lift, many people are looking for more performance. If the rpm is also increased in the programming the increased RPM have been known to cause stock springs to break and or have valve float.

Anytime you add a cam or rockers on a 3800 Series 2 motor, the safe choice is to change the springs.

Not even on the subject or valves and springs. But when you do something you want to do it right. If you are looking to cut corners you will still get cut in the end. Changing the springs is just good idea. You will have the valve covers open anyways and why risk a spring breaking. You would really really mess up your engine that you obviously care for and want to get more out of. If you change it all now you don't have to worry about anything going wrong when you want to get on it
