Well, got it all installed.
Got everything ready
Dropped the pan, looked good, a little dirt but clean.
Cleaned it all up
Then I removed the filter and got to work on the shift assembly
Got it opened up
got all cleaned up, no wear, looks good
Got it all back together and torqued to the correck inch pounds
Got everything back in
Now it'* time to test this out
All in all, it was easy. Took me about 2 hours, but I was interupted by UPS dropping off my new rockers, then the mail man dropping off a package from my mother inlaw. Also cleaned up a lot to take pictures and went over the instructions very closly.
Before this shift kit I had about 2* or 3* of KR at WOT with a spike of 7*+ at the shift point. After the install I get mostly 1* of KR with about 3* or 4* at the shift point. A nice improvment.
If anyone in this area wants to install one of these kits, I will be happy to help. I have a inch pound torque wrench. The only down side is I have the dial kind, a click type would be better, but mine does work.

Makes a hell of a mess though huh? I just did mine Friday, equally happy with it. I feel that my old sluggish shifts were slowing down my ET. You have to come down here if we have another meet anytime soon.

Oh man your offer is tempting! How much does the kit cost and how hard is the shifts? Do you have an adjustable modulator on it also?

I'm very happy, I installed the PCM first. It shifted harder but they just didn't feel solid, kind of like a small vibration in each shift, a bit harsh. With the shift kit they seem a bit faster, more solid and firm. I'm just happy it did wat it said about shift KR.
And ya, a bit of a mess, could have used a larger catch pan.

I got the high performance kit, it was like $125 or something like that. There'* another smaller kit as well, it'* much less. Have a look at www.intense-racing.com The shifts are nice and solid now.

Nice little write up! I would have found it helpful to see those pictures before I was to install a kit like that; but luckily that kit is already in my transmission
I think that kit is just for the 4t65e HD & the adjustable modulator is used on the 4t60e.
