Swapping for a better ride
Just installed the front struts and sway bars i got in june, of 09. Anyway they were from a 97 or 98 SSEI . I did'nt swap the rear springs because they looked pretty much the same. is it possible they just look the same. The Bonne had air assist but i did'nt take it. Big big diff in the front springs though. I also just used stock bushings because i wanted the parts out of my house and onto the car.

Glad you didn't grab the rear springs, because you would have had to swap in the air assist also. Spring rates are determined by the diameter and hardness of the metal. They are not always easy to determine just by looking at them. Probably would be a good time to swap out the end links and everything too, just so there is no old parts in there.

I did get the rear springs, just did not swap them over. What i did'nt get were the air asst struts. New bushing in front (stock rubber) old in rear. Ran out of time and tired. As soon as it cools down i'll go out to the u-pull , maybe get the air ride. Is it a stand alone system .
Meaning i can pull everything and install with the pump and all ? Already di the stb and have the rad support bars from a Caddy, have'nt installed them yet .
