Superchip or JET II?

A Jet Stage 2 chip for a 93 SSEi should give approx:
HP & Torque: 14-17 HP/ 20 ft lbs Torque
I am suprised someone doesn't sue these chip companies for the HP & Torque claims they make. Most of the higher numbered estimates are at the flywheel, and the lower estimates are to the ground.

I like to get more POWER under the CURVE by raising the 1-2 shift point, bumping timing a tad and a few tricks with torque managment, etc. Plus the NO speed limiter benefit and bumped line pressure on 97 up models is a plus.
Not sure about Jet and the rest but.....

Hey Superdve... do you know if DHP has it done for the Bonnies yet or still testing?? and read carefully what superdve said... the DHP not only get rids of the limiter but bumps and changes even the shifting curve, along with fuel. IF you're going to spend the money anyways.. I would personally recommend DHP.. spend a bit more.. but do it right the first time..

Well I went against the majority and got the superchip. To me, it sounds better. Let me tell you why. First of all, it is more expensive, which indicates it works better because more research and development went into the design. Second, the chip incorporates the computer code. It knows exactly what the stock car is capable of and it improves upon this. Third, jet only works at WOT while superchip works throughout all rpm ranges. Last, the cooler thermostat that is pretty much required by jet helps jet'* reputation. Superchip does not recommend or even tell us to get a cooler thermostat. That means that superchip works better rather than cheating by using a thermostat.
I think superchip is the best buy and thats what I went with. And superchip is also plug and play. You remove the old chip and add the new one, simple as that.

1983.. to each their own... you can be the guinea pig and tell us what difference it made.. I"m in the process of getting a laptop with obd II connector to read real time info from the PCM ( as soon as buddy emails me back and find a time and place to meet to do the transaction ). Just because it'* more expensive doesn't mean it'* better.. compare another car within the price range of our Bonnies and you ain't going to find much in the same class as ours. DHP chips are also just a plug in.. they also as far as I know use the stock settings, except you tell them what mods are done to your car ( or would be ) and they simply upgrade the perimeter to match. DHP also changes the shift points and works not only on WOT, but all around. They also remove the speed limiter.. rev limiter I don't know about.. but I would leave the rev limiter alone anyways. Just my 2 cents.. tell us what difference it makes when you have your chipped installed.. I"m dieing to know if this 20+HP kick in the pants is true.

That'* a sweet ride you have....

I should know the HP gain for sure since I just purchased a g tech power meter to tell me the difference my mods make. I can't wait to see the difference in HP gain when I get my sc rebuilt and my undersize pulley put on. I'll keep you in the loop on what I find out.
