What about a speed sensitive "bump that is hooked up to a radar unit that sences the speed of the car and when the car hits the bump-if your going the speed limit it colapses,but if your going faster it locks in place and you get the bump.
I picture a big metal tube 50 % recessed into the ground and it has air shocks connected to the tube that can be pressurzed when needed,but when you go over -no jars no jerks just a little bump as you go over the housing holding the bump( Ihad back surgery and it went bad so speed bumps kill me)just a thought-anybody runs with this just rember i gave you the idea $$$$$$$$$$$$$ thanks Jon

I was thinking more along the lines of a pneumatic or hydraulic lift that could tilt a section of road, and slide the slow poke speed limit drivers off to a special lane, where they can go as slow as they want.

Instead of a speed bump, why not modify the drivers airbag? Make it look like a boxing glove, and have it shoot out and sock the driver in the nose if it detects idiotic maneuvers?

everybody is issused three little darts to use when they see someone do something stupid, you just shoot the other guys car, fill out some paperwork and get another dart. then when a cop sees a guy driving around with three darts on his car, he pulls him over and gives him a stupid ticket
