Try Techinfo, Specifications for some of the info.
My timeline is also listed in Techinfo, but is incomplete.
On my webpage (click my sig pic to get there, or the www button below this post), you'll see alot of other information, and the gallery has pics of other cars besides my own. Mostly technical stuff.
In a NUTSHELL:
Series 1 NON supercharged ran from 92-94 (L27)
Series 2 NON supercharged ran from 95-present (L36)
Series 1 SUPERCHARGED ran from 92-93, with a slight change between 92 and 93, and another one for 94-95 (all L67'*)
Series 2 SUPERCHARGED ran from 96 to present. (L67)
There was a subtle body change in 96, but it'* still an H platform.
There was a major body change in 00. This is now a G body.
The 4T60E transmission was used for the 92-96 NON-supercharged models.
The 4T60E-HD transmission was used for the 92-96 SUPERCHARGED models.
The 4T65E transmission was used for the 97 to present NON-supercharged models.
The 4T65E-HD transmission was used for the 97 to present SUPERCHARGED models.
The SSE and SSEi are nearly identical except for transmission and engine.
The SLE was an upgrade package to the SE through 97, then replaced the SSE in 98.
And I didn't even scratch the surface........Techinfo specifications also has production numbers, SC specs, etc. Techinfo is really a wealth of information, but again, barely scratches the surface.

I think www.edmunds.com lists alot of those kind of specs for different cars as well. But techinfo should be the first place to go.
