Default MY FIRST Q?

was just wondering if an engine out of a 1998&up RWD Lumina will fit into my 1993 bonneville SSE. what I am warried about are things like bellhousing bolt patern, crank to flywheel, flywheel to converter, engine mounts...etc AND NOT the electronics.
any input is most valued.

A RWD Lumina? I didn't know they made one.

What kind of engine is it? We have a FWD platform, so finding the right transaxle for that may be hard.

What happened to your 3800?

There is a RWD Lumina in other countries. Judging by your name, you could be in another country. It'* the same as the GTO we're gitting. Is it the V8 or V6?

sorry I did not reply fast enough but there is 13 hours or so between my place and the US.
we have the RWD lumina from HOLDEN australia(as well as the caprice which is also a RWD). by the way there are the coupe, wagon, 1tonner(pickup!) from that lumina but we do not get those.
anyway, the engines are twins from the outside(I do not know about the mounts) I think I should try australian forums or so.My engine has a spun bearing and I thought of getting a fresh young engine instead of fixing an old motor(fixing costs around 800$ here)
Guys,Try to search for hot rodding life in australia. That lumina comes with an LS1 V8 (comming in the corvettes) in the SS trim, THAT engine gets modefied to a 427 cubic inches and 600 Hp (that is NA!!).
take care...

I think there has been discussion of a V-8 swap before, and most agreed it would be very difficult, with a ton of custom work.

i think you could squeeze a v8 under one of our hoods, after all the put the northstar in the caddys, not hardly any extra room though
