EGR Delete
I have been thinking about this for a bit. Is there a greart advantage to doing an EGR delete. What woudl be some of the disadvantages?

Cleaner top end, but poorer emissions. I believe it does increase combustion temps a bit, which does increase the risk of burning valves, but that is hardly worth considering. The early L27'* didn't even come with an EGR.

Took mine out some time ago. Much cleaner engine. You can do a delete with a simple change in the tune. Change the turn on temp to 285 and it will never open.

Yes. That way if you are in a visual inspection state, it'* there. The way you turn it off is to turn the diagnostic temp from normal temps up to the max value of 284. Since it doesn't run, it never functions. Then IIRC there'* some adder tables that need to be tweaked at the same time.

It'll never toss a code if it never tries to function. I can see deleting the code in your case. Aren't you using those wires for another input to your HPT?
