A rumble isn't normal, but you probably didn't do anything wrong that would make it rumble. IAT is plugged in somewhere, right? Where?
Mine doesn't rumble or growl until WOT. However It will whistle or wheeze loudly because air is rushing through the IAC passage in the TB. This will get quieter as the engine warms up and idle speed slows.

Also the throttle body and IAC passage may need to be cleaned... This will help quiet the noise a little...

Ya i just installed mine i dont get a rumble i get a vaccum cleaner noise . I unhooked my battery cable for about an hour and then put it back the car ran like crap for about 30 seconds then it perked right up and went lol.
Now around 2500-3000 rpms you can hear a noticeable diffrence in sound and performance not huge but its def there.

its pretty long theres about 3inches between the front of the engine compartment and teh front of the filter. The IAT sensor hole was a big small but a metal file worked wonders on that little problem . One problem i needa work on is that the way the pipe is bent the filter is touching the coolant line from the engine to the radiator so a CAI it is not. Im trying to find a cheap and easy to work with material/ plans for a bax to build round the filer.
