Default Series I Supercharger question...

Hey, I was wondering something. ON my NA Series I 1992, is it possible to slap on the Series I supercahrger without too much hassle? Has anyone done/tried this before? I happen to have came across a possible junker that has one in the yard yet and I was debating on if it woudl work or not....

You cant slap anything on there. Are you able to swap the engines out? That would proably be your best bet

Nope, you can't do that. If I even began to explain how impossibly hard it would my head would explode.

But actually, this is worth the read. I wanted to try that too.

The engine swap would be your best bet. Hopefully one day when I get enough cash and know-how I can swap a Series II L67 in my 89. *drools*

Werd.
It will bolt up and most likely you'll need a 92 L67 chip, secondary belt drive and misc. mounts.
It'* not so much that it can't be done it'* just that theres not enough info on this.
And your trans will probably take a dump too, from all the added low end torque.
I did have a mechanic tell me a story about how "back in the day my friend swapped out the whole top end for a */c in his bonnie and it worked for a while"
But everyone has their glory stories so take it w/ a grain of salt.

On GP club in the L36 forum there is an article on ZZP creating a supercharger add on that will be in the $1000 range it runs a larger pully so the trans ect will hold up better the project is almost finished i believe they just need to get the finished fule rails and do some final testing for official numbers but you can look over there i would but im at work now

The SC will not 'bolt up'. You need the LIM also, PCM, and a bunch of brackets, and a 4T60E-HD trans. It'* cheaper to sell your car and buy an SSEi.
