Default Headers

I was thinking about buying "The Other Guys" Headers, but had read they are definitely NOT worth the money. They said it is a gain of about 1HP for every 160$ spent. The kit is about $750 so thats a gain of roughly 5-6 HP. Just wondering if they are worth the money, or if I should venture somewhere else?

i have Personal Experience with TOGS, SLP'* Pacesetters, and the SSAtochrome (ebay Knockoffs of SLP'*)

you get what you Pay for. the Togs are a BITCH to install with the way they are clamped together they oten leak. I have the SLP'* and the Slip fits went together perfect and i have no leaks what soever

Dude, TOGs are some of the best, that'* what I'm running. Pacesetters are the junk ones that are clamped.

A lot of people rave about pacesetters, and about TOG, I saw your post about having to grind away the motor mount to make the front header fit (not a problem), is there any modification needed for the pacesetters?

Only to the headers. Where the crossover pipe connects they dont fit well and tend to leak. You can have the pipe expanded to fit better. Some say they need to check and tighten the clamps from time to time. Bad welds are another problem. You will also see more power and better flow with TOGs and SLP

I was leaning more towards TOG anyway. So you have no leaks with TOG'* correct? What are running past the cat, is it just the stock mufflers or did you upgrade?

I have no leaks. Putting them in was easy if you take old out from under and install new from under.

I'm running stock pipes from the res back with a flowmaster series 80 muffler.
