Before you start making very many changes perfomance wise check this article out in the TECHINFO section. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/techinfo/?article=52

I would get the O2 sensor changed also. Make sure the car is running top notch. If I did the conversion right it is pushing 250,000 miles, it has quite a few miles on it so be carefully.

As for pully size I will leave that for some one else I have never owned a SC engine before.

o2 sensors are pretty easy to change but they are around 20.00 at autozone for quality ones(I think it'* bosch). I'm pretty sure you might ask willwren about the pulley. I think he got one from pulleyboys or something like that.

NO BOSCH!!!! EVER! PLEASE! Do NOT use Bosch O2 sensors in a Bonneville.

Use OEM AC-Delco ONLY.

Crazy, check your email. I replied to you through my hangover fogged mind

I must argue this point though Will! I've been using a Bosch O2 Sensor in my 92 EGRLess for about two years now w/o any ill effects too. Now granted, it may be because it IS an EGRlesss engine & that this engine runs hotter than any other NA 3800 too. Maybe it'* got to do with how much heat the engine puts out throught the exhaust? I know this is true in most Fords, as their CATS are hotter than just about anybody others I've found. I know too my exhaust is quite hot due to the CAT removal too & a straight pipe installed in it'* place. Just something to think about.....

You may be right. Yours is the only car running a Bosch that hasn't had a premature failure (that I can think of off the top of my head). I know half a dozen cars (probably all with EGR'*) that have failed them early. Mine went in 60 days, and Jr'* too, I think.

If this is true, to some extent, the 180 thermostat and extra tranny coolers would also have a bad effect on the Bosch units.

Now that I'm running a 180 Drilled T-Stat too, I'm curious if my Bosch O2 will last now or fail. If it does fail this summer, then I'll know for sure it'* because of the engine'* exhaust temperature.

Thats odd...I thought bosch was pretty high quality and good besides their plugs(they burn way too hott!). Why would it decrease gas mileage over oem ones? :?:
