Default Series II INTENSE 1.9 Rocker Install

Christmas came a little early for me.
Look what just arrived in the mail.

I plan on keeping this post updated with my latest install pics.
Be patient. Winter has just begun and it'* a long time till spring.

The only **** off so far is that the INTENSE shipper screwed up the Customs declaration papers and marked down the additional inclusion of a $400 differential by mistake.
It cost me an extra $60. in duty charges.
I will send them a letter of complaint but not sure there is anything they can do about it now. :(

But everything else made it in good shape and complete with instructions.
Very quick and communicative delivery, unlike other vendors I've delt with.
I believe in telling it like it is to be informative about our vendor quality and try not to pick on any one unless they deserve it.

More to come........

Hmmm. Wonder why not. Others can. It is linked to my CarDomain page. If you can view that go to Page 9 for the pic. Link is in my sig.

If you can't see them, you will miss all the rest of the pics for the detailed install to come.

Xac - You're so lucky to be living where you are right in the heart of car country.
.....but you will miss the satisfaction of doing it yourself.

You got the LS6 springs? What color are they? I've heard they come in a plethora of colors, sometimes even rainbow. :?
You have an air comp. and hose to move the pistons? Or are you going to use the old fashioned method of a piece of wood and a mallet?

The LS6 springs are gunmetal blue with little tags on them that say "Made in Germany". Quality pieces, I'm sure.

I have an air compressor and spark plug adapter.
The method does not involve move the pistons. You must rotate the crank for each pair of rockers so the respective cylinder valves are closed. Then you pressurize the combustion chamber thru the spark plug hole to ensure the valves do not drop into the cylinder bore when you remove the springs.
PDad used some rope inserted in thru the plug hole to wedge the valves closed against the piston.
Wood and a mallet.

Yep gun-metal blue. Does anyone know/remember what the yellow ones are? I just remembered this off the top of my head. I know they are for the LSx Series because I saw them where my buddy works (ALL LT1 and LS1 Performance shop) when he was taking an engine apart. I remember him telling me but I can't remember.
