You really have to do a full throttle run to 110 mph and compare temps at the max under full boost for sustained 1/4 mi times........13 seconds.
Your temp probe should heat up well by then.

129 without the IC pump running.
101 with it running.

Haven't tested further than that, but the IC isn't at peak efficiency yet. I have some re-routing to do, and I need to move the pump lower than the top of the radiator to prevent cavitation/air issues.

My efficiency probably isn't good enough to say "wow, that'* hot, let'* flip the switch", but is probably good enough to achieve my goals by getting a 'head start' before a run and having it on.

Can it keep up on extended boost runs? Probably not. But I don't need more than a 1/4 mile at a time under any circumstances. The car was capable of over 150mph 2 years ago, and I don't do that any more.

I have alot more testing to do. If it doesn't meet expectations, I can scrap it. I have replacement parts ready to go on at any time. Even without it, I'll hit 13'* this year. Stronger motor, bigger injectors I needed last year, and I'm not outflowing my MAF any more. LSD on the way as well.

Didn't you add the 1.8'* since the last track visit?

This thread is awesome! it explains how the Intercooler works and how it was designed, fabricated, and installed! Great stuff!

I am new to 3800'*, so my question is...Did you fabricate this intercooler because there is not one commercially available for a Series I L67?

I have seen thru many of your performance threads on your 93' that you fabricate your own parts.

Thanks, enjoying this very much!

1.8'* were on the car last season, but I was outflowing my stock 29lb injectors and MAF sensor at WOT.

Yes, I fabricated this because there wasn't one commercially available. My goal from the beginning was to build one others could copy for under $400. I succeeded on price, but not on practicality. The fabrication is quite a bit more involved than most people would like.

Whether it suits it'* intended purpose remains to be seen with warm-weather testing and a few tweaks.

Congratulations on the intercooler! I knew you could do it. Great work fabricating everything, too. WCBF will be awesome, and I just got a new video-capable phone. Speaking of videos, might we have some please?

Also, did I miss it, or did you not yet tell us which pump you're using?

Same pump (Bosch) the Cobra and Lightning use.

My list of materials and sources will be up when I get things working right. I'm still dialing in my fueling, so no vids yet. Getting better daily though.

Thanks! Good luck managing your fuel. Is it easier to tune now?
