It should work but we need to do a little digging here.
What tranny is in the gxp? This switch is for a 4t60e but it has the same algorythm as the 4t65, might be the same for the gxp?

Btw, you have the perfect traction control device built in already..it'* connected to your body just below the right ankle, and your shoe is convieniently wrapped around it.
As far as a drag racing aid...hmmm...if you are having traction problems that bad off the line, time to address the real problem..the contact patch between the tire and the drag strip.

just a note i would like to share
the second gear start is a form of traction control...
(my statements are for the GP)
i was reading the owners manual that was in the junkyard of a GP that had the second gear start button.... it says that its function is to gain traction in adverse conditions when the car cannot gain traction
since the Bonneville has a very state of the art Stabilitrak, and TC system there is no need for the traction point of view
i personally like first gear....its fun

ok again its a thought....
1. As stated i can pretty much run out traction control to the point it starts to shut off fuel so whats the point im losing time.
2. IMO it would be a good backup starting from the line in second to avoid spin.
just an idea i think the SGS would have been a far superior system if it had been further refined..

Thats why the circuit is desribed as bad weather starts, it bogs the engine down and keeps you from spinning on ice. Not a traction device for the track or any kind of spirited driving imo?
