decided to go the cheap way for now

i know its not the best set up but it works for now, im fairly happy with it and i can tell a mild increase in acceleration, also i was surprised at how loud it was.
ps. i had to use part of the stock set up do to the fact the 3.5" coupler wouldnt fit over the TB plus its much closer to the head-light for now, so flame away! lol

Getting that stock air box off really opens up the sound dont it? Do all you can to keep the hot air out of the intake

yea it dose and so far my lil ghetto "heat-shield" is working u can tell just by touch that the air on the right side of shield is cooler then the left side

Good to see you at least put in a radiant heat shield.

Too bad you don't have whine or it would be more satisfying but you will hear your growl more now.

yea she really gets loud around 2K+ RPM'* and really mean around 4k to 5k

since that heatshield doesnt go back to the firewall, I can't see it being effective.

otherwise, looks good.

It is better then nothing, but yes, he needs to enclose the whole thing from teh engine compartment.

theres only maybe a 2 inch gap thats open on to the left next to windshield fluid reservoir which i plan closing off later, but even as of now u can feel that the air is colder on the intake side

About the worst thing you have remaining is the factory 'accordian'. You need to lose that to benefit from the CAI.

(other than the Jeff Gordon bedding which has now contaminated your parts)

yea i know i was a lil depressed having to put it back on grr but for now it works i guess prolly get me another pipe later and get the filter closer to the head light
