Series I head questions...
Long time reader, first time poster....
Anyways I have a question concering head switching. I currently have a Series I '92 SE. Everythign runs fine on it, but I wanted to see abotu porting and polishing the heads for better flow and reworkign the valve train. I dont wanan mess with my good origional heads still on the car, so I was thinkign about buying some junker heads to work on (in case I F*** somehting up, I dont want my ride a paperweight)
Anyways, the local junker down the street has a few Series I blocks with heads, but only one from a 92. The rest seem to be from 93-94 models. What I was wondering is, if a head form a 93 or 94 would fit up on a 92 block. I obvisouly know that a Series II head wont fit due to different collant passages and such, but I am unsure abotu different years of the Series I. If it is possible to swap an older model head onto it, is there a difference in performance? I would like to upgrade the rockers and springs, and was hopign that those compants are better then the stock 92?
Any comemnts would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

It would actually be a benefit to switch to '93 heads, and yes by all accounts they should just bolt right up. The '93 was the first year to get roller fulcrum rockers. Not a major improvement, but better. I don't think the springs were any better, but *shameless plug* I sell springs, rockers, and cams should the need arise.
