idle speed
I can tell you from experience, if you hae a k&n filter that is close to the throttle body it will suck the oil out of the filter and coat your mass air. I had mine clamped right to the throttle body, ran really good for a while, then the idle started to go a little crazy. I pulled the throttle body off and found the oil coating the MAF. I cleaned it and put the stock air box back, now runs better. It still seems to suffer from lack of air flow at higher rpm'*.

sounds like you might need to replace your MAF sensor there. Have you double checked to make sure any more oil didnt get on the sensor after you cleaned it?
